5 TIPS TO A FASTER VALENTINE'S DELIVERY

PLEASE BE AWARE the demand in Valentine's Week is extremely high.  We will bust our boiler to get your flowers & gifts there on time & to where they need to go - please help us by following these simple tips:

1. ACCURACY IS KING!  Please ensure the delivery details are accurate.  Sounds obvious I know, but you would be surprised how many times the street number is incorrect or street name spelt incorrectly.  Accuracy ensures for a fast, seem-less delivery.

2. THE MORE DETAILS THE BETTER!  When sending to an office or business, the more details you can give us the better.  What level the business is on, what department does the recipient work in.. all these small details help make a faster delivery.

3. IF IT'S HARD, MAKE IT EASY!  If the delivery address is a bit tricky to find; if it's at the rear of an address; if it's on a dead end street that is a rabbit warren to get into... make it easy for us & let us know.  We'd prefer too much info that not enough.  The longer it takes us to find a tricky delivery address, the longer your Valentine has to wait to be surprised!!

4. MAKE SURE THE RECIPIENT WILL BE THERE!  Save time, disappointment & potentially money by double checking to make sure your Valentine is going to be at the specified delivery address when you have requested.  Be a detective & a little bit sneaky if you have to (call reception or one of their friends) but by double checking now, it saves a whole lot of disappointment, time & money down the track (avoiding a re-delivery fee).

5. WHAT'S THE BACK-UP PLAN?  If your Valentine isn't at work or home at the time of delivery, what would you like us to do with the flowers?  Let us know when you're ordering by leaving a comment in the Special Delivery Instructions box.  Remember if it's over 25 degrees, we won't leave the flowers as it will compromise the longevity & quality of the blooms.  So shall we leave with a particular neighbor (if so, what number)?  Or at reception?  Or do we take the flowers back to the shop & keep in the cool-room (bear in mind you will be charged a re-direction fee for any further deliveries)?   Please read our DELIVERY POLICY below for further information on this.

Thank you so much & have yourself a wonderful Valentine's - we look forward to surprising your loved one with beautiful flowers & gifts...

VALENTINE'S DELIVERY POLICY 2018

**PLEASE READ CAREFULLY**

Business Deliveries:

When ordering it is your responsibility to advise us if the recipient is working outside of normal working hours (assumed 9am-5pm Mon-Fri and 9am-5pm Sat). If the recipient has left the place of work prior to receiving flowers on Valentine's day & we have not been advised of working hours, the following will occur:

If the business is still open, the delivery will be left at Reception.

If the business is closed:

1. A representative from The Blu Tulip will contact you (the customer) advising of the situation & ask for your preference on delivery. If you are un-contactable, the delivery will be taken back to the coolroom & you can choose to either collect from there or request a re-delivery (fees will apply).

2. If we can contact you, you will have a choice to either

  • Request a re-direction at your expense (the cost of a standard delivery fee to the new suburb) - we cannot guarantee this option to be available but if it is possible to complete on the day, we will. The availability will be dependent upon the redirection suburb & the time of day.

    or

  • Have the order taken back to The Blu Tulip & stored in the cool-room for the recipient to collect at their convenience.  The next available day for collection will be Wednesday 15th Feb.  The recipient can also choose to have the flowers delivered on Wednesday at their expense.

Residential Deliveries:

If the recipient is not at home when our couriers are delivering, the following will occur:

  • If the temperature on the day is under 25 degrees-celcius and there is a safe & secure place to leave the flowers (in the shade & protected from the elements), we will do so (out of sight from the road).

  • If there is NOT a safe place to leave the flowers, the courier will attempt to deliver to the neighbors - if they are home & are willing to accept the delivery on the recipients behalf, we will leave a note in the recipients letter box & deliver to the neighbor.  The note will have the street number & name of where the flowers have been left.

  • If the temperature is over 25 degrees-celcius, we reserve the right to not leave flowers outside due to the effect the heat may have on the fresh flowers.  In this case, we will attempt to deliver to the neighbors - if they are home & are willing to accept the delivery on the recipients behalf, we will leave a note in the recipients letter box & deliver to the neighbor.  The note will have the street number & name of where the flowers have been left.

If we are unable to leave the flowers or deliver with a close neighbor, a representative from The Blu Tulip will contact you (the customer) advising of the situation & ask for your preference on delivery:

You will have a choice to either

  • a) Request a re-direction at your expense (the cost of a standard delivery fee to the new suburb) - we cannot guarantee this option to be available but if it is possible to complete on the day, we will. The availability will be dependent upon the redirection suburb & the time of day.

  • b) Flowers be taken back to The Blu Tulip & stored in the cool-room for the recipient to collect at their convenience.  The next available day for collection will be Thursday 16th Feb.  The recipient can also choose to have the flowers delivered on Wednesday at their expense.

If we cannot get in touch with you (the customer) the flowers will be taken back to The Blu Tulip & kept in the cool-room until we hear back from you.

PLEASE BE AWARE the demand in Valentine's Week is extremely high.  We will do our very best to get the flowers delivered to the recipient because we want to see them enjoyed however it is not our responsibility if the recipient is not at the location at the time of delivery.  We will do everything we can to get them there on time & to where they need to go.  Please help us by providing us with accurate & detailed delivery information.

THANK YOU & HAPPY VALENTINE'S!!!
