Mother's Day Week Delivery Policy 8th-14th May 2017

Delivery Options Available MOTHER'S DAY - SUNDAY 14TH MAY:

Due to the huge demand for Mother's Day deliveries, we are unable to Guarantee any timed deliveries on Mother's Day itself.

We will do our absolute very best to complete all deliveries as early as possible.  We understand that you would like your Mum to receive her flowers in the morning so we suggest ordering AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE to make sure this happens.  The earlier you order, the higher chance of your order being delivered in the morning.

An $8.50 surcharge applies for all deliveries on Sunday 14th May (NOT our usual $30 Sunday surcharge).

Your best option for delivery is to get in EARLY & deliver on Fri 12th May or Sat 13th May (or even before).  As we say; it's Mother's Day WEEK & your Mum will know how much you appreciate her when her beautiful fresh flowers arrive nice & early throughout the week.

Business Deliveries:
When ordering it is your responsibility as the customer to advise us if the recipient is working outside of normal working hours (assumed 9am-5:00pm Mon-Fri and 9am-5pm Sat). If the recipient has left the place of work prior to receiving flowers on a work day & we have not been advised of working hours, the following will occur:

1. A representative from The Blu Tulip will contact you (the customer) advising of the situation & ask for your preference on delivery.

2. You will have a choice to either

  • a) Leave the flowers at the place of work (if it is still open) for the recipient to collect at their convenience

  • b) Request a re-direction at your expense (the cost of a standard delivery fee to the new suburb) - we cannot guarantee this option to be available but if it is possible to complete on the day, we will. The availability will be dependent upon the redirection suburb & the time of day.

  • c) Flowers to be taken back to The Blu Tulip & stored in the cool-room for the recipient to collect at their convenience.  The recipient can also choose to have the flowers delivered at the expense to the recipient.

If we cannot get in touch with you (the customer) the following will occur:

If the place of business is open, the flowers will be delivered there as requested.  If the place of business is closed, we will take the flowers back to The Blu Tulip until we hear further instruction.

Residential Deliveries:

If the recipient is not at home when our couriers are delivering, the following will occur:

  • If the temperature on the day is under 30 degrees-celcius and there is a safe & secure place to leave the flowers (in the shade & protected from the elements), we will do so (out of sight from the road).

  • If there is NOT a safe place to leave the flowers, the courier will attempt to deliver to the neighors - if they are home & are willing to accept the delivery on the recipients behalf, we will leave a note in the recipients letter box & deliver to the neighbor.  The note will have the street number & name of where the flowers have been left.

  • If the temperature is over 30 degrees-celcius, we will not leave flowers outside due to the effect the heat will have on the fresh flowers.  In this case, we will attempt to deliver to the neighbors - if they are home & are willing to accept the delivery on the recipients behalf, we will leave a note in the recipients letter box & deliver to the neighbor.  The note will have the street number & name of where the flowers have been left.

If we are unable to leave the flowers or deliver with a close neighbor, a representative from The Blu Tulip will contact you (the customer) advising of the situation & ask for your preference on delivery:

You will have a choice to either

  • a) Request a re-direction at your expense (the cost of a standard delivery fee to the new suburb) - we cannot guarantee this option to be available but if it is possible to complete on the day, we will. The availability will be dependent upon the redirection suburb & the time of day.

  • b) Flowers be taken back to The Blu Tulip & stored in the cool-room for the recipient to collect at their convenience.  The recipient can also choose to have the flowers delivered at the expense to the recipient.

If we cannot get in touch with you (the customer) the flowers will be taken back to The Blu Tulip & kept in the cool-room until we hear back from you.

PLEASE BE AWARE the demand in Mother's Day Week is extremely high.  We will do our very best to get the flowers delivered to the recipient because we want to see them enjoyed however it is not our responsibility if the recipeint is not at the location at the time of delivery.  We will do everything we can to get them there on time & to where they need to go.  Please help us by providing us with accurate & detailed delivery information.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION! :-)
